Shahzada Ammar Jamaluddin

Shahzada Ammar Jamaluddin is the seventh son of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin and brother of His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin as well as the representative of His Holiness in London.

Shahzada Jamaluddin is the chairman of Burhani Foundation, the community’s environmental arm dedicated to research and conservation efforts across five major areas, namely: water conservation, renewable energy, green cover, zero waste and cleanliness.

Under his guidance, the foundation—alongside Project Rise, the community’s philanthropic outreach arm—partnered with UN Champion of the Earth Afroz Shah to launch ‘Turning the Tide against Plastic Pollution’ in 2019. This sustained river and beach cleanup initiative has since seen the collection, recycling and proper disposal of thousands of tons of plastic waste from Mithi River, Versova Beach and numerous other locations across India and the world. Under Shahzada Jamaluddin’s leadership, community centres also continue to adopt renewable energy sources such as solar panels and implement zero waste policies and practices across all events and gatherings as part of the foundation’s various environmental awareness initiatives.

Shahzada Jamaluddin also heads ITNC, an organisation within Dawat-e-Hadiyah that facilitates matchmaking and marriage counselling for community members.
